It’s confirmed, Zimbabwe Fashion Week 2025 is on!
The announcement was made by the Zimbabwe Fashion Week Trust on Monday evening, casting aside any thoughts that last year’s events had become the last straw for the Trust.
The 2025 edition will take place from 8 – 12 October 2025, marking a (somewhat) third consecutive year of the prestigious event. It seems the Trust has finally settled for Harare as their home base, introducing Hyatt Regency Harare The Meikles as the venue partner for the event.
Over four days, ZFW 2025 will feature runway shows from established and emerging designers, insightful workshops, networking opportunities, and engaging presentations, all set against the elegant backdrop of the Hyatt Regency Harare The Meikles.

This year’s event promises to be a special edition of the Zimbabwe Fashion Week, close to two decades since the inception of the first event in 2009. The Trust is determined to dust itself off from the previous edition’s shortcomings and deliver a memorable showcase of Zimbabwean talent, creativity, and innovation within the fashion industry.
Speaking to Mcheno and More, Founder of Zimbabwe Fashion Week Priscilla Chigariro confirmed that the Zimbabwe Fashion Week had found new home in the historic Meikles Hotel, now under the stewardship of international hotel chain Hyatt Regency.

“We are delighted to be hosting Zimbabwe Fashion Week 2025 at the esteemed Hyatt Regency Harare The Meikles. Since our journey began in 2009, we always endeavoured to partner and collaborate with brands whose values and delivery aligns with those of our organisation,” she said.

Chigariro added, “This partnership with Hyatt Regency Harare The Meikles allows us to elevate the ZFW experience for both participants and attendees, providing a world-class venue to celebrate the incredible artistry and potential of Zimbabwean fashion.”

A five-star venue for Zimbabwe’s longest running Fashion event is just what the doctor ordered! Zimbabwe Fashion Week’s role in promoting local designers, connecting them with international markets, and fostering growth within the industry should never be overlooked or forgotten.
Some of today’s legends like Tapfumaneyi Munengi and Danayi Madondo passed through the ZFW runway early in the careers, and that provided the catalyst they needed to reach the heights they have.
The 2025 edition will build upon this longstanding legacy, highlighting the diverse cultural influences and contemporary trends shaping the nation’s and continent’s fashion landscape.
