The Zimbabwe Fashion Week Trust has been having quite the second year back in action — from a successful inaugural edition of the Creative Accelerator Programme to the launch of the re-FASHION Accelerator.

Riding on that wave, the Trust had announced in early August that the flagship event on its calendar, the Zimbabwe Fashion Week, was to be hosted from the 16th to the 20th October in Victoria Falls (again). Now with just under a week to the scheduled festivities, the Zimbabwe Fashion Week has been pushed back to the first week of November.

The event will now run from October 30 – November 2, 2024

In a brief statement published earlier today, Zimbabwe Fashion Week Trust founder Priscilla Chigariro revealed that there had been some last minute changes to the sponsorship arrangements which forced the postponement.

“To ensure we continue to deliver a high-quality experience for all, we have made the decision to postpone the event and secure additional sponsorships,” the statement continued.

More details will be divulged as we get closer to the event.

The Zimbabwe Fashion Week is in its second year running, after a six year hiatus from 2018. This year’s edition is a four-day fiesta which will feature homegrown and international designers including Reen Zara, Zimbabwe Sunshine, Whats Upstairs, and Ivorian brand Kente Gentlemen.
